Constructive derivation of asynchronicity

Abstract

Under the Lorentz transformation, when two inertial frames synchronize their clocks at one space-time point, their clocks at other spatial locations display an asynchronization given by the formula –vxγ/c2. This asynchronization term is distinctive in that it transforms a set of instantaneous events in one frame to a set of non-instantaneous events in the other frame leading to the principle of ‘relativity of simultaneity.’ In this paper we provide a constructive kinematical derivation of this asynchronization from the point of view of any one inertial frame.
